Tylar Samuels

Tylar Samuels earned a B.A. in anthropology from the University of Iowa in 2000.  After moving to Florida in 2001, she worked as an AmeriCorps team member with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection.  Upon completion of service, Tylar worked with FDEP Estero Bay State Buffer Preserve for 3 years doing a variety of land management tasks, including exotic plant control, prescribed burning, cultural resource management, facilities maintenance, and boundary protection. 

Ms. Samuels joined the Conservation 20/20 Program in February 2006 as a Senior Program Specialist, focusing on field activities, including boundary sign installation and assisting land stewardship staff with various restoration projects.

Recently, she was promoted to Land Stewardship Coordinator position for the Conservation 20/20 Program, and will be responsible for conducting quarterly site inspections, writing stewardship plans, and field activities.
