Information
These beach accesses, #11 thru 35, are on the Gulf of Mexico from Big Carlos Pass to the south up to Matanzas Pass Bridge to the north. These 25 accesses are operated by the Town of Ft. Myers Beach. Colored Banners along Estero Blvd. designate their location, number and have symbols indicating whether they have amenities, accessibility or parking (parking fee required). Have fun and enjoy!
History
These beach accesses were operated and maintained by Lee County Parks & Recreation for many years. Shortly after Ft. Myers Beach incorporated, on December 31, 1995, and officially became its own municipality, the "Town of Fort Myers Beach. ," they soon took over the operational aspects. This introduced parking fees to help make some minor improvements, as well as, defray the cost of upkeep.
