History
The Lee County Player Development Complex is where the Boston Red Sox used to train and practice before the Game Exhibition season began at City of Palms Park from 1993-2011. The Red Sox left this facility for a newer one (jetBlue Park) that opened at the beginning of the 2012 Spring Training season.
