|Rutenberg Park is open from 7 a.m. to 10:45 p.m., seven days a week, unless permitted. Please contact Paul Yacobelli at 239-229-1610 to request a field permit.|
Rutenberg Park is located in south Fort Myers, one block east of McGregor Boulevard, between College Parkway and Cypress Lake Drive.
This facility is equipped with the WeatherBug Lightning Alert System. When the
system detects lightning within 10 miles of the facility, the air horns sound an
uninterrupted 15-second blast and the strobe light will activate. Park patrons
who hear the horn and/or see the light need to seek shelter immediately. When
the system no longer detects a threat, three 5-second blasts from the horn will
sound and the strobe light will stop working. This is the signal that it is safe
to return outdoors.
*If the connection is DOWN, please follow the National Weather Service 30/30 rule until it is restored.*
|This 40-acre property was donated by Rutenberg Homes for use as a park and opened to the public in 1977.|
