History
The Alva Community Center is part of the Alva Community Park, behind the Alva Middle & Elementary Schools. Lee County acquired the 5-acre property in 1966. In the early 70's the center was home of the first Alva FireHouse and community gathering place. The building was completed by the efforts of volunteers and concerned citizens. This building was completely renovated in 2004. It has one large meeting room and 2 small rooms as well as a computer lab with 6 computers and a kitchen.

Today, Parks & Recreation Staff is working to better serve the citizens needs by offering many programs and activities.

Suggestions for additional activities are always welcome!
